Sugar Wedgewood Box for bonbons with flowers

Tools needed for this project: Rolling ping, dog bone, rose calyx cutter, 4 inches diameter round cutter, small scissors, doily cutter, 4 1/4 diameter plastic ball, small orchids, ivy leaves, small filler flowers. You will also need pastillage or flower paste.
Method

With small scissors make a pine cone. Cut a rose calyx and press in the center with the dog bone to shape. Attach at the pine cone base with water of gum arabic glue.

Smear some shortening around the plastic ball, two inches from the center of the ball. Cut a doily and place on top of the ball to dry. Cut a second doily and dry flat. At the top attach the pine cone and the calyx.

Measure the circunference of the round cutter and with the ribbon cutter, cut a 12 1/2 long by 2 inches wide ribbon.
Let dry inside the cutter (see tools needed picture)

With royal Icing attach the round ribbon to the flat base, using tip number 2. Also make a border at the base and at the top. Make the figures with the silicone mold and attach with royal icing. Decorate the border of the lid with figures and dots. Let dry.

Cut a piece of styrofoam, one size smaller than the sides of the box. Attach to the inside of the box with royal icing.

Arrange the leaves and flowers to be used.

Cut a piece of pastillage or sugar paste 2 sizes bigger than the sides of the box.

With royal cing attach the circle to the inside of the box, to hide the styrofoam.

Once the styrofoam is hidden,without losing any time, insert the flowers in the styrofoam, before the pastillage or flower paste dries. Place the lid sideways.
